Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Simple Handover (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

Simple Handover provides shift handover, task, checklist and reporting tools for operational teams. We may update, improve or change features over time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect your use.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including the activity of managers and frontline staff you add to your sites.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, uploading unlawful or harmful content, or using it to infringe the rights of others.

You are responsible for the content your team submits and for ensuring you have the right to store it.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

You retain ownership of the content you and your team submit. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that content to provide the service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by Simple Handover and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

We work to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. On termination your right to use the service ends.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
